I’ve been to Florence twice now, and each time I fall more in love. The city is so beautiful and full of great museums and architecture. It’s home to the Birth of Venus and the Statue of David. And of course, the Duomo is one of the most gorgeous buildings in the world.
On top of all its beauty, Florence has some of the best Italian food. The city is chock full of amazing restaurants. There’s a gelato spot around every corner and nearly every restaurant serves great pasta. While it’s honestly hard to find a bad restaurant in Florence, there are some in particular that you’ll definitely not want to miss. Below is the complete list of where to eat in Florence, including many of my all-time favorite restaurants.

FOR COFFEE / BREAKFAST
Ditta Artigianale – Fabulous coffee and one of the few places you can get oat milk. Be warned servie is very slow if you’re dining in
Cortese Café 900 – Another location with oat milk. But their espressos and americanos are what got me. They also serve vegan treats.
FOR LUNCH
4 Leoni – This lunch spot is so good we went twice on our last trip. The pear pasta is incredible!
Pizzium – Where to eat in Florence wouldn’t be complete without pizza! This place is super fresh and has that really great thick, fluffy crust.
Mercato Centrale – Perfect for an inexpensive meal! The upstairs has a ton of different food stalls and communal seating. Had some amazing pasta here for 11 euros.
Gucci Osteria – This Michelin star restaurant is so worth the vibes. Portions are pretty decent too!
FOR DINNER
Enoteca Pitti Gola e Cantina – My favorite restaurant in Florence! Their wine pairing menu is just incredible.
Trattoria Angiolino – Delicious option for Florentine steak and lots of pasta options.
Cucina Torcicoda – This restaurant has two options – the gormet eatery with both innovative and traditional dishes, and the pizzeria. We’ve eaten at both and highly recommend!
Adagio – I really loved their fall pasta when I ate here!
Cibréo – I haven’t had a chance to visit yet, but this restauarant is a Florence institution and definitely on my list.
Trattoria Cammillo – This spot is supposed to have amazing pasta!
FOR DRINKS
Retrobottega – Found this spot with our friends recently, and we loved it! The bartender was so friendly and made amazing cocktails. The espresso martini made with italian liquor is a must.
Atrium Bar – The Four Seasons bar is absolutely worth a visit! They make amazing coktails and have a cart for custom negronis (the drink of Florence).
Angel Rooftop Bar – One of the few rooftop bars in Florence. Great views and great vibes.
Babae – One of the few operational wine windows in Florence. Ring the bell and you’ll be given a glass of wine to enjoy on the street!
Locale Firenze – We didn’t make it here, but it was recommended by my wedding planner for cocktails.
FOR GELATO
Gelateria Della Passera – This is my favorite gelato place. The flavors are unique and there’s always a line. Stick to one scoop because it’s rich!
Gelateria La Carraia – A small shop with big portions! Great for a classic gelato when you’re trying to decide where to eat in Florence.
Gelateria Santa Trinita – Another delicious option for gelato.
Mancuso – I was surprised at how great this gelato is. The flavors aren’t too sweet, which is how I like it.
