It’s easy to look at certain Instagram feeds and think “wow, are they really getting dressed in quarantine?” I’ll even admit that I prefer sharing the days I DO get dressed on Instagram versus the days I don’t. There’s something significantly less sexy about an endless rotation of leggings and sweatshirts.
But let me be honest here. I am not getting dressed every day. In fact, I’m not getting dressed most days. Instead I’ve found what I’m wearing at home is a continuous cycle of my favorite cozy and comfy items. Think stretchy leggings, boxy hoodies, athletic wear, and slippers.
Below I’m sharing things I’m really wearing at home during quarantine. These are my softest, most-loved pieces that act like a constant hug during this difficult time.
Xx, Kelsey
Softspun tops
I’ve owned multiple of this top for years, and always replace them when I wear them out. Even before quarantine, I wore them once or twice a week while working from home. They pair perfectly with leggings.
The Best Leggings
Nothing beats Lululemon leggings. I wore Lululemon exclusively when I was a competitive figure skater, and I’ve continued that love affair since retiring. The classic Wunder Under is the right combination of stretchy, lightweight, and not see-through. I love them most because they do double duty as my favorite workout leggings and my favorite pair for lounging.
Influencers’ Favorite Socks
I bought these socks to wear with my white sneakers last summer, and they’ve proved to be a great purchase. I love wearing them around the house because they keep my ankles warm. Plus they’re very on trend – and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to feel a little cooler in your coziest outfit.
Slippers and slides
Depending what the temperature is, I rotate between these slippers and these slides. Not sure why, but my feet are ALWAYS cold. You’ll almost never find me walking around the house barefoot. I wear the slippers on cold days and the slides when it’s a little warmer. Both are insanely comfortable. (PS – the slides are also perfect for wearing outside the house once quarantine is over).
Cozy Sweatshirts
The number one combination I’m wearing at home during quarantine has been sweatshirts and leggings. In particular, I have a grey hoodie that has been on regular rotation. I like the boxy fit of this one because it feels a bit more stylish than your regular lazy hoodie.
Snuggly Sweats
I’ve talked about it on Instagram, but I’m really not one to wear sweats or pjs all day long. I have to get dressed to be even remotely productive. That being said, one of my favorite things is changing into these comfy sweats after I finish work for the day. Even if I’m only changing from leggings to sweats, there’s something about that switch that helps me shift my mindset to chill mode. This pair has been my favorite for years – they’re SO soft!
