Growing up, I lived all across the U.S., but Texas is home. This means my love for queso and country music is strong. So naturally, I got a liiiiitle bit excited that western wear is in style right now. I’ve been seeing modern cowboy boots and fringe covered sweaters all over the place.
While shopping at my favorite concept store in de Pijp, Circle of Trust, I came across this amazing western hat. And the best thing is that it was on sale for 10 euros! At that price, I couldn’t resist adding it to what Jon calls my “silly hat” collection (please also see the baker boy).
In order to keep my outfit from going full on cowboy, I paired the hat with distressed black skinnies, a white blouse and slip-on loafers. Details like a bejewelled box clutch and leopard belt help to give the look more of a city feel.
I’m so excited to play with this hat and see what other outfits I can work it into. Now excuse me while I go treat myself to a little taste of home from my favorite Mexican restaurant in Amsterdam.
Xx, Kelsey
