Last week we had record setting warm temperatures here in Amsterdam. It reached 27 degrees (80 degrees Fahrenheit), which is just nuts! Of course the Dutch take advantage of that kind of weather, since it doesn’t happen very often. Many take off work, and the canals were packed with boats. I took this opportunity to rock some of the summery clothes I didn’t expect to break out for months. In particular, I brought out this gorgeous warm weather blue dress to drink prosecco canal side.
I originally bought this dress with the South of France in mind, but it turned out to be too cold to wear. Thankfully I was able to wear it last week, and hopefully it’ll get more use this summer. I picked this warm weather blue dress up from H&M. I love the details in the sleeves, and it’s super flattering. As a bonus, it’s under $40!
For my canal side day, I paired the dress with the Superga sneakers I’m obsessed with this season (I wasn’t kidding about becoming a sneaker girl). I also grabbed my J. Crew red straw clutch from several years ago. Straw bags are the easiest way to make an outfit current this year, and I’m so glad that I hung onto this clutch.
Unfortunately we are back to chilly weather here in Amsterdam, so this warm weather blue dress is going to be back in the closet until I bring it out for some trips in May.
I’ll be returning to the pictures from this day over and over until we get some warm weather again!
Xx, Kelsey
