I love a new outfit just like the next girl, but that doesn’t mean I think you should run out and buy a while new look every time a holiday rolls around. Believe it or not, there are plenty of styling tips to make last year’s LBD look so fresh no one remembers it.
Last year, I spent a good amount of time out of work which taught me to be really mindful of my purchases. I learned the importance of shopping my closet. Now that I’m back to work full time, I’m trying to carry those lessons through.
So for this holiday season, instead of telling you what new outfits you need to buy, I’m sharing my top 5 holiday styling tips.
Read on and let me know in the comments which holiday styling tips you’ll be trying this year.

HOLIDAY STYLING TIPS
1. Shop your closet – It sounds so obvious, but the best way to start this holiday season is by shopping what you already have. Pull out the sparkly dress you wore two years ago. Guarantee with some smart styling no one will remember that you’ve already worn it.
2. Get creative – Mix and match something that you wouldn’t normally have paired. Throw some stunning wide leg pants under a slinky mini dress or add a sparkly tank to your slip skirt.
3. Accessorize – It’s not secret that I’m obsessed with accessorizing. Accessories are the quickest and easiest way to make an impact with your outfit. Add a pearl headband or plaid bag to change up the feel of your look.
4. Add fun shoes – If you’re just wearing an LBD this season, a fun pair of holiday shoes will steal the show. If everyone is busy admiring your shoes, they won’t even notice that you’re in your go-to dress.
5. Test out a new look – Holiday parties are the perfect time to test out a new hair or makeup look. A dark vampy lip can completely change your face. If you usually wear your hair up, wear it down for the party (or vice versa). Your look will feel instantly refreshed.
