One of the trends I’ve been loving lately are graphic tees and tops with cheeky text. Remember those days in the 2000s when everyone used to wear the dumbest graphic tees? Thankfully those days are gone, and now graphic tees feature smart, funny slogans perfect for catching eyes on the gram. And what could be better for brunch than a cheeky top?
Brunch is the perfect time to whip out your cheekiest item – one your girlfriends will totally appreciate over mimosas. I picked up this one from one of my favorite Dutch stores, Catwalk Junkie. It’s the same place I got these leopard flares. They’re having a sample sale here in Amsterdam this weekend, and I’m so excited to pick up some new items.
I love this cheeky top because of the great black and white contrast and because it speaks the truth – “Always late!” Now don’t worry, this isn’t a top I’d wear to an interview (where I’d definitely be on time). But it is perfect for brunch, where rolling in 15 minutes late to breakfast at 2pm is TOTALLY acceptable.
I’ve included some of my favorite cheeky tops that are perfect for brunch in the below carousel. I paired my sweater with black jeans and my fave Steve Madden boots (still cold here in Amsterdam), but I’m imagining some of the versions below paired with boyfriend jeans and my new Superga sneakers when it starts to get warmer.
How would you dress a cheeky top or tee?
Xx, Kelsey
