The Best Winter White Sweaters

Now that we’ve rung in the new year, it feels like winter has officially set in. January always feels like the longest, coldest month. Here in the Netherlands, the skies are perpetually grey all month, and it still gets dark very early. This makes it the perfect time to cozy up in classic, comfy sweaters while we wait for spring to arrive.

Personally, I have a habit of collecting winter white sweaters. No matter how often I convince myself to pick up a colorful sweater, I always migrate right back to my neutrals. There’s just something about a white or cream sweater that just feels extra cozy to me.

Since I’ve done my fair share of research on white sweaters (and collected more than a few styles), I wanted to share the best winter white sweaters to snuggle up in this month.

1. Puff Sleeve Sweater (EU only) – This sweater has been on my radar lately even though I don’t need any more sweaters. The sleeves are so cute!
2. Wrap Sweater (EU) – Sézane is one of my favorite brands for high-quality sweaters. In fact, half my winter white sweaters come from the French brand.
3. Cable Knit Sweater (EU) – Nothing beats a cable knit when you’re looking to get extremely cozy. H&M surprisingly always has great sweaters.
4. Turtleneck Sweater (EU) – I’ve been living in turtlenecks and leggings lately. This one would be perfect paired with my favorite leggings and fuzzy slippers.
5. Heart-detail Sweater (EU) – Just because it’s a white sweater, doesn’t mean it has to be boring. How adorable is this heart detail?
6. Cable Knit Sweater (US only) – I have so many J. Crew sweaters from my days as a sales associate. They’re so classic and will last for ages.
7. Collared Sweater (EU) – Collars were a major trend in 2020, and they’ll continue to trend in 2021. This sweater is perfect for jumping on the collar bandwagon.
8. Ruffle Neck Sweater (US only) – The details on this sweater are so cute. Plus it’s light enough to make a great layering piece.
9. Cardigan Sweater (EU) – Cable knit cardigans are the best. All the coziness of a chunky sweater, but you can also use it as a layering piece.
