I always find myself loading up my summer shopping cart with little white dresses and straw accessories come June. There’s just something about summer fashion that makes me so excited. Even though summers are super short in Amsterdam, I can’t help but make some new purchases for the warm weather months.

SUMMER SHOPPING CART

Dressy LWD – I’m obsessed with this adorable number from Chicwish. It’s the perfect dress for summer events or date night.
Perfect beach dress – I picked this dress up at Mango for our trip to Portugal. The comfy fabric, rope detail, and easy siloutte just begs to be thrown on after a day at the beach.
Oversized sunnies – I shared these sunglasses in this post, but they’re too good not to share again. They’ve quickly become my go-to pair. And I’ll be wearing them all summer long.
Straw visor – The straw visor is trending this year for summer. Pick up an inexpensive one like this, since these trends don’t last more than a season or two. Pair with a cute black bathing suit.
Classic swimsuit – I bought it last year, and it’s so classic I’m going to wear it all summer again this year. Plus you can’t beat the price.
Ultimate summer bag – There are almost too many good bags to choose from lately. Jon bought me a dupe of this Staud bag (found here), and I can’t stop carrying it.
Classic flip flops – A trend you’re going to be seeing this season is basic flip flops paired with every kind of outfit. I particularly love the idea of pairing them with the Chicwish LWD mentioned above.
White strappy sandals – Another shoe that is trending this summer is the strappy white sandal of your 90s childhood. I particularly love this pair for the block heel that makes it easier to walk on the Amsterdam cobblestones.
Straw hat – Obviously no summer shopping list is complete without a classic straw hat. This year, grab this updated style from Mango. I just love the extra ribbon.
Seashell jewelry – Can anything say summer more than seashells? This summer you’ll be seeing big and small shells all over your Instagram feed. To be the most one trend, scoop up a seashell anklet.
