We are still very much in the middle of the dark, grey days of winter here in Amsterdam. We have about a month more of sweaters, heavy coats and endless rain before the first signs of spring start to show. But that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start dreaming of maxi dresses, bare shoulders, and spring accessories.

Whether you live somewhere warm or somewhere that you’ll be in layers for a bit longer, you can still start stocking up on the best items for spring. Since the spring and summer season here is so short, I like to make sure that my spring accessories can easily carry over into summer. It’s all about smart shopping.

SPRING ACCESSORIES

Wooden Bag – Another bag style that you can start wearing now and continue into summer is a wooden one. The Cult Gaia style is a little overdone, but this Topshop one feels so fresh. In my shopping cart right now!
White Mules – These are my favorite shoes from last summer, and I can’t wait to wear them again. While I love all the heeled versions out there, a flat pair is more practical for everyday use.
Straw Bag – Straw just screams warm weather. I’m particularly loving straw bags this season that have a little structure to them. It adds a little more polish than a floppy version.
Fun Sunglasses – Once we finally see the sun, you’ll be in need of a cute pair of sunnies. This Quay pair is super classic, and the tortoise feels so bright and happy.
Chunky Wedges – Wedges are the best for lengthening your legs and still being able to walk. This Marc Fischer pair is in style year after year.
