Just the other week, I was working on my post of affordable Black-owned fashion brands, and it made me stop and think. I realized I hadn’t yet shared a list of my favorite places to shop with you all. While most of the clothes I share come from a select few stores, I figured it’s time to put them all down in a list. And I’ll keep adding to it as I find new places to shop.
In order to make this simple, I’m going to note which retailers you can also shop in the EU. Make sure to click the EU link instead of the US one. I realized most of you are reading from the US, but I don’t want to exclude any of my European and expat readers.
As always, if you need any help finding an item, feel free to reach out. I love helping you find what you’re looking for!
Without further ado, please read below for a list of my favorite places to shop (in no particular order). And let me know what your favorite store is in the comments.
Xx, Kelsey
MY FAVORITE RETAILERS
Mango (EU) – This has become my favorite retailer since moving to the Netherlands. I don’t know what it is about living in Europe that revealed how chic everything in this store is. Plus it’s affordable and better quality than Zara.
H&M (EU) – This store can be a tricky one. Some of the items are too trendy, and you’ll start to see them on literally everyone. But I do still find some total gems. Look for items that are a little higher quality and avoid anything with writing to make it last.
Banana Republic – I miss Banana! I shopped here religiously in NYC, partly because of their great sales and partly because they were down the block from my office. It’s the perfect place for work appropriate clothes, whether you work somewhere casual or more uptight.
Gap – The sister brand to Banana Republic is where I find most of my basics. I’ve had a denim jacket from here for years. I also love their loungewear and classic winter sweaters.
Nordstrom – No list would be complete without the mecca that is Nordstrom. I love this store because you can find just about anything you’re looking for. They have a great selection of denim and shoes. Plus they’re so so good about returns.
Zara (EU) – I often look to Zara for upcoming trends. Lately, I’ve had less patience for the crowds and digging through racks. But I do make a point of stopping in to a store every time we travel. Each country has a totally different selection and style.
Asos (EU) – Another place you can find just about everything. Plus the shipping and returns is so incredibly easy.
Sézane (EU) – By far one of my favorite brands. I love their super chic French girl style, plus they’re sustainable, ethical, and the quality is amazing.
Chicwish (EU) – In all honesty I never thought I would have shopped at Chicwish. But I’ve been collaborating with them for quite some time and have fallen in love. You might have to do a little digging beyond all the frilly dresses, but they’ve got some great finds like this dress.
Nike (EU) – I’m a little biased because Jon works with them, but they’re always the most on trend when it comes to sneakers and athleisure.
Lululemon (EU) – I’ve been wearing Lulu since my days as a figure skater. I’ve always been impressed with their quality leggings. I’m still wearing a pair from high school!
Athleta – Another brand that’s great for athletic wear. They do great stretchy leggings and comfy tanks for a decent price.
