Not going to lie, I haven’t had many opportunities to dress up lately. We’ve been in some form of lockdown since the end of October, and I’ve been living in sweaters and leggings. But just because that’s the current reality, doesn’t mean I can’t dream of days when we can dress up again. If you live somewhere where you can still go out and do things, consider yourself lucky!
While we’re stuck at home, I’m more and more grateful for this blog because it gives me an opportunity to dress up. I get really excited to bring you all some new outfit posts and hopefully inspire you for when you next get a chance to dress up.
For this post, I wanted to bring back the faux leather midi skirt (EU) I wore in this post during the fall. I’m all about maximizing your closet, so I love showing you how to wear one item during two different seasons. In fact, many of the styling tips from the previous post rang true for styling the leather midi skirt for winter. With a few cold weather switch-ups, of course!
The number one switch is adding a thicker sweater. This one from Sézane is one of my favorites. It’s currently sold out, but there are tons of great similar styles in this post. I also added tights and my go-to heeled boots – two classic pieces to transition an outfit to winter. A leopard bag brought a layer of detail and interest to an otherwise simple look.
Would you wear this leather midi skirt for winter? Let me know in the comments at the end of this post!
Xx, Kelsey
