I feel like the month of July went soooo fast. Now it’s August and summer is almost over. I wasn’t ready for summer to be over until we had that heatwave in Amsterdam a week or two ago. Trying to sleep in a 90 degree apartment made me totally ready for fall. It’s my favorite season, and I’m already looking forward to cool nights, pumpkin candles, and cozy sweaters.
While I am super excited for fall, I’m not quite ready to let go of my summer outfits. Below, find the most popular summer outfits in my July Instagram Roundup. And some of the items I’ll be wearing again in the final month of summer. Don’t forget, at any time you can shop my IG by going to the shop page!
Xx, Kelsey
Zara gingham ruffle shorts | Banana Republic mock neck tank | Marc Fisher wedges | Catwalk Junkie heart eyes sunglasses (the Betsy Johnson pair here is also still in stock)
These shorts from Zara that I wore for the Fourth of July have been your favorite item by far, and I get why! They’re the cutest little summer item, so flattering, and so easy to pair with a tank, a crop top, or a tee. They run TTS as well.
Zara white cap-sleeve maxi dress (on sale for only $30!) | Shein see-through bag | Steve Madden sandals (my go-to pair this summer) | H&M sunglasses (a steal at only $6)
As always, Zara has been killing it with the dresses. They always have such fun silhouettes and this white dress is no exception. I wore it in Marrakech, and then again several times here in Amsterdam. I’m particularly a fan of the length (I can ride my bike in it without flashing anyone) and the tie waist because it’s always flattering.
Zara dress is out of stock, identical option here | Marc Fisher wedges | Etsy straw bag (similar ones here and here) | Henri Bendel Miss Bendel bracelet and Petal bracelet | Cinco ginger necklace
I wrote this post on the button-front trend. It’s been my favorite dress trend this summer, and you all agree! The vertical buttons are elongating, and this white one works for so many occasions. I bought these Marc Fisher wedges in New York as a gift to myself for getting promoted. They’ve turned out to be totally worth the investment. I think they’ll be in style for a long time.
Wood Wood tank (so soft!) | H&M high-waisted pants | Asos nude block heels | Shein see-through bag | Cinco ginger necklace
I wore this outfit out for one of our last meals at my favorite Mexican restaurant in Amsterdam. We just found out that it has permanently closed, and my heart is broken. These pants fit TTS for H&M, which means size up one size. I bought these shoes for my friend’s wedding that I’m in this weekend, but I know I’m going to get a lot more use out of them.
Banana Republic OTS top (unfortunately the striped version is sold out, but a few sizes are left in the white. Also linking a similar top here in grey stripes) | Gap white skinny jeans | Marc Fisher wedges | Cinco Ginger necklace | Straw bag is from the market in Marrakech | Henri Bendel Miss Bendel bangle and Petal bangle
Stripes are my favorite pattern in summer, especially of the blue and white variety. I shared this outfit in a post here, but you guys really took to this shot on Damrak. I totally get it because these houses are super iconic! My top is unfortunately not in stock, but there are so many cute striped tops out there for summer, still.
