In theory, working from home sounds the best. Sweatpants and pjs! Working from your bed! But the truth is that taking a lazy approach to working from home can actually hurt your productivity. Even when working from home, a power outfit can make you feel like the boss woman you actually are.

My Tips for Elevating WFH Attire
Do a little makeup – It would be unreasonable to assume that you’re going to put on a full face of makeup when you only have two Zoom calls during the day. But taking the time to dab on a little concealer and swipe on some mascara in the morning can make a huge difference in how you feel about your day.
Add a nice top layer – Let’s be honest, leggings rule supreme when it comes to working from home. But an easy way to elevate your work from home attire is to throw a nice top on top of your leggings instead of a ratty t-shirt. I’m particularly fond of oversized button downs, cozy cardigans, or a chic tunic.
Wear a dress – If it’s warm while you’re working from home, try changing it up with a dress. It doesn’t have to be a ballgown. Find something in a cozy style like this or this. It’ll make you feel more put together, but you still be super comfortable.
Throw on a hair accessory – A quick and easy way to elevate your work from home attire is to throw on a headband or scarf. This simple trick is great because it means you don’t have to wash your hair. Instead of showing up to your video conference with a ratty bun, you’ll look like you put in some effort (even if it only took 2 seconds).
Break in new shoes – Working from home is a great time to break in new shoes before you take them out into the world like I’m doing in the image in this post. Test out your summer sandals at home while you answer emails and make trips to the kitchen for snacks. This saves the soles in case you have to return them. Plus prancing around the house in a cute pair of shoes is a guaranteed instant mood lifter.
