I’ve been working with Chicwish for a few years now, so when they asked me to write an honest review, I jumped at the chance. In the past, I’ve gotten questions about the brand, so I figured putting together a Chicwish review would be helpful. Chicwish has provided me with some of my favorite pieces over the years. The brand is known for super feminine styles at affordable prices and works with tons of bloggers. Chances are if you’ve seen a floaty dress or tulle skirt on Instagram, it’s from Chicwish. I was sent several items for this Chicwish review and decided to do a try-on for you all.
But before I jump in, I wanted to share some overall thoughts on the brand. Over the years, I have been surprised at the quality of the pieces I’ve received. Ordering online can be a bit of a gamble, but I’ve usually received pieces with quality fabric. On more than one occasion I have opened a package from Chicwish and been surprised by how nice the item is. They have lots of feminine pieces, and I’ve found them to be an especially good resource for occasion dresses.
A few of my favorite pieces include:
- Star dress – I have never gotten so many compliments as when I wore this to a fall wedding!
- White swimsuit – Perfect for the bride to be! Size up.
- Blue dress – This goes with me on every beach vacation
- Fuzzy coat – Not particularly warm, but very cute
Since this is an honest review, I also have to share the negatives that I’ve found with the brand. Sometimes I find that the styles aren’t particularly flattering on my body. Often this is due to me branching out and trying something I might not usually order. I recommend sticking to styles you know tend to fit your figure. When I do that, I usually love the item. I have also had an item lose tassels in the wash. I was able to sew them back on, but just something to note.
What I wish I could speak to is the shipping and returns, but (being honest!) I have always had items shipped from their PR team. I have heard that timing can be a gamble depending on what’s in stock where. So just something to keep in mind if you’re ordering for an event.
The last thing I want to touch on is sizing. For me, things have run pretty true to size. I wear a medium pretty much across the board. I have usually found a S-M works for me, although occasionally a short dress will be realllly short on my 5’7 frame. I usually avoid purchasing anything that already looks short on a model. I have also been a size L in swimsuits in order to fit my hips and long torso. The best thing you can do before purchasing is read the description, look at the measurements, and look at pictures on the model or on bloggers.
Now for the try-on.
I’ve never met a Chicwish sweater that I haven’t liked, and this sweater is no exception. The fit is long and oversized, so it’s perfect for pairing with leggings. Wearing a M-L.
This coat is an absolute stunner. The faux fur collar is removable which gives it extra life. The only thing I don’t love is that the collar doesn’t feel 100% secure and slides around a bit. The silhouette is very feminine, so it pairs best with tights and booties or heels. The coat is surprisingly thick, but I wouldn’t count on it as your heavy-duty winter coat. Wearing M.
I was pleasantly surprised by the pattern of this dress. The print is really gorgeous! The sleeves are really oversized, so I’m considering having a tailor take it in under the arms for a more flattering silhouette. Wearing M, but could definitely have sized down to a S.
I’ve already worn this sweater dress twice and LOVE it. The fabric is super stretchy. I’m wearing a S, which is quite fitted.
This dress is the one item I’m not sure if I love or hate. I feel like it looks so much better in real life than in photos. The tie waist is a lot higher than I expected which gives it a bit of a babydoll look. I think it would be cuter paired with a pair of printed tights or bare legs. Wearing M.
Obsessed with this romper. Chichwish does knitwear really well, and this is so comfy. It’s perfect for summer lounging around the house or for travel. The top buttons, but I left it open for an off-the-shoulder look. Wearing a S-M and the fit is perfect.
Love a cute scarf and this one is fun for Valentine’s Day. I will admit that one of my nails caught on a thread and pulled it loose, so it’s probably best to be gentle with this one.
