I really do love to spoil those that I love during the holidays. But there are situations that call for a less expensive gift. Maybe you’ve got a gift exchange among friends with a spending cap or you need to get a thoughtful gift for a colleague that doesn’t break the bank. Or maybe you just need to stick to a budget this year.
I always find it harder to give gifts under $50. I want to be able to give something thoughtful, but when there’s a budget it’s tempting to start picking up meaningless gifts.
Check out the below list of gifts under $50 that are actually really cool. In fact, I might be adding some of these to my last minute wish list.
And if you’re still looking for gifts, check out Gifts for Her or Gifts for Him (curated by Jon!).

GIFTS UNDER $50
- Stila Liquid Lipsticks – Stila makes some of the best liquid lipstick that stays all day long without dehydrating. This set is perfect because it at least one or two colors will work for her.
- Monogrammed Notebook – When giving an inexpensive gift, go with something monogrammed. It shows that you had to take the time to get the letter just for them, rather than grabbing the first thing you saw on the shelf.
- Stemless Wine Glasses – An easy gift for the hostess or your wine loving bff. The confetti detail on this set of four is just so cute.
- Panacea Crystal Earrings – This pair is just so pretty and looks far more expensive than it’s XX price.
- 1901 Slippers for Men – These are one of my favorite gifts to receive at Christmas. This under $50 pair is perfect for the guy you have no idea what to get.
- Anthropologie Honey Pot – I’ve never owned a honey pot, but I can guarantee I’d start using one if I was gifted this. It’s just so adorable!
- Henri Bendel Ornament – The iconic NY store is closing, so get a momento to hang on your tree. This taxi is just the perfect reminder of the charm of NYC.
- SkinnyDip Manicure Set – For the girl who always has an impeccable mani. This set is easy to throw into her bag and makes caring for her nails so simple.
- Anthropologie City Trinket Dish – A dish for rings and earrings is a simple gift, but one that will get a lot of use. Gift her one with a personal detail, like the skyline of her favorite city.
- Mario Badescu Facial Spray Set – Christmas is a great time to gift sets that let her test out a bunch of different products. The Mario Badescu sprays are a cult fave and sure to make a great gift.
- Anthropologie Christmas Plate – Can’t you just see a delicious collection of Christmas cookies on this plate? A practical gift, but also so cute.
- Henri Bendel Candle – If all else fails, I swear candles always work. Pick one that comes in pretty packaging like this three-wick from Bendel.
