Helllloooo and happy Friday! I’m so glad to see the end of this week, as I’m spending the weekend with one of my best friends in Scotland. We have lots of plans. Primarily including wine, cute outfits, and lots of catching up.
I’ve been battling a horrible cold this week. You know that seasonal cold that goes around once the temps start to drop? I got it bad this week. It’s been all soup and Dayquil for me. Thankfully I’ve had the foresight to bring cold medicine and cough drops back from the states. One of the toughest things about living in Europe has been the fact that they don’t take medicine when sick. The Dutch way is to rest and drink ginger tea. But that isn’t an option with an upcoming flight to Scotland!
I’m also getting very excited for my next upcoming trip. Jon and I are headed back to the US for Thanksgiving! We haven’t had a real Thanksgiving in two years. Both times we’ve had to work, since Thanksgiving isn’t a holiday here. It’s a small thing, but it’s going to be very comforting to be back in the US this year.
I’ll also be staying for the first week of December. I’m excited for the holidays in NYC. Thinking of putting together a guide of my favorite holiday activities in the city. Would you read it? I’ve also put together this guide to the holidays in Amsterdam for anyone doing any travel.
Wishing you all a fabulous weekend ahead!
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 2, WEEK 42
My favorite winter boots are back in stock! They’re seriously comfy, seriously warm, and seriously cute. I spent so much time hunting these down last year. Fit is true to size.
Party season is almost upon us. I love any excuse to dress up. This dress, this dress, and this killer jumpsuit are all on my radar for holiday dressing.
Speaking of holiday dressing. There’s nothing worse than freezing your butt off during the holidays. I wrote this post with tips for looking festive without goosebumps.
Been feeling the itch to switch up my hair (just a tiny bit) lately. Read this article for the trendiest styles for winter.
I’ve been looking for a longline turtleneck for a while. This one has caught my eye. Leaning toward the pink one.
If you’re looking for style inspiration for the colder months, my fall/winter Pinterest board is taking off. I check it daily to inspire my own outfits.
These pants arrived in the mail this week and they are sooooo French-girl chic. Can’t wait to take photos in them.
The one thing you definitely need to get through the cold season is a good pair of heeled black boots. I’ve been wearing this pair this year and they are perfection. Size up a half size, as they run tight.
Have you seen this? If you’re in need of a smile today, just check it out. Promise it’ll be worth it.
