Happy Friday, everyone! This week was simultaneously the shortest and longest week for me. I was in London until Wednesday evening (hence the Sketch bathroom selfie). I technically only worked three days (one in London and Thursday/Friday back in Amsterdam), but it feels like this week has been so long. I’m ready for the weekend, for sure.
Monday was my 27th birthday, which I spent in London with my dad and Jon. I have to say it was by far one of the best birthdays that I’ve had. I wasn’t expecting a lot out of my 27th birthday. 26 felt really old to me, but 27 just felt kind of natural. And maybe that’s part of what made it feel so special in the end.
I absolutely loved London. So many cool places to eat and drink. And don’t even get me started on all the florals this time of year. Every pub and cafe was decked out in flowers. Would you guys be interested in a post on where to find the best florals in London?
I’ve been back in Amsterdam for two days now, and I’m not going to lie, real life has been a little overwhelming. I’ve taken on a lot of work, which is great, but also hasn’t left me much time for myself. I usually prioritize getting blog posts up over “me time,” but this week I’ve needed to take a small step back and take a break from my usual blog schedule.
Are you guys bad about prioritizing me time? I need to start scheduling it in and working on disconnecting at the end of the day.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 2, WEEK 11 & 12
If you’re missing my content this week, make sure to check out this post on the best spring accessories and this post on spring denim.
Jon knows me so well that he found this dupe of the Staud bag I’ve been eyeing.
I’m still going strong on my #noskinnyjeanschallenge for the month of March. And it inspired me to buy these gorgeous wide legs jeans.
For all my Amsterdam readers, I got my nails done at Lakwerk last week, and they did such a good job with the nail art.
This perfume that I’ve been looking for in every Duty Free airport shop since I lost mine in January. Finally found it this week at Gatwick.
Jon and I are headed here for our next trip. I’m so excited to visit some vineyards!
This maxi dress has been one of my favorites lately. I wore it belted in this post, but also wore it loose with white sneakers in London. It’s so versatile!
