Happy last Friday of September! I’m especially excited about this Friday because tomorrow morning Jon and I leave super early for Antibes, FR. We’ve been to Antibes a few times, but I’m so excited to spend time at the beach. I’m also dying to get my hands on a giant bag of French sea salt. I know it’s weird to get excited about salt, but I swear it’s the best I’ve ever had.
This week has been a pretty busy one. I’ve been doing a lot of work for clients, as well as here at Kelseyybarnes. It’s great to be working again and to be so busy. Anyone else thrive off of being busy? I feel like it really helps me schedule things and be productive with my time when I have so much to do.
I met a new friend this week, and we spent a good chunk of today shooting around Amsterdam. One of my favorite things about blogging is shooting pictures. Even though half the people who walk by give you crazy looks, it’s so fun to come up with a creative idea and make it happen. Plus it seems like half the trees in Amsterdam turned yellow overnight. Photos like the one above are why I love this time of year.
Jon and I are headed to dinner tonight with some work colleagues, and then we have to finish up our packing. France, here we come!
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: WEEK 20
Serial just released a new season. I’ve only listened to one episode, so hard to form an opinion just yet. It’s a little different this time. Each episode is a new trial within the Cleveland court system. TBD what I think of it!
For all my Amsterdam readers, this pumpkin soup from Jumbo is everything right now.
I wasn’t sure how I felt about the brown trend for fall, but honestly I can’t wait to get my hands on the color. In particular I like this, this and this.
I did a little closet shopping after this week’s post. I found my checked skirt similar to this one that I had TOTALLY forgotten about. And it’s on trend!
Totally lusting after this jacket. I know I have a jacket problem, but this baby blue color is so hot right now. Need.
Now that the temps are consistently in the 40’s and 50’s at night, I’ve been lounging around in the world’s softest sweatpants.
I carried this bag all summer and absolutely loved it. But I’m in the market for something that feels a little more wintery like this or this.
Henri Bendel, my all time favorite store is closing. They’re an NYC staple on 5th avenue, and it breaks my heart that the store will be no more after January. If you’re a Gossip Girl fan, you know how iconic the store is. My first purchase in NYC was their jetsetter backpack.
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Similar skirt here | H&M brown sweater is from last year. Similar ones here and here | Enzo Angiolini mules

I’m totally going to miss HB too! Love their purses and jewelry. I started Serial the other day as well and tbh, as a Black woman it’s very difficult to listen to openly racist dialogue happening in a place where everyone is supposed to be given equal treatment. Alas, this is America.
Nonetheless, great post. Glad I discovered you via Instagram!

Thanks for stopping by, Leslie! I just listened to the second episode the other day and was shocked by what I was hearing! Hopefully the podcast is able to shed some light on the issues within the US justice system and inspire change. Xx, Kelsey
