I don’t know about y’all, but this week has felt long. I’m so glad it’s almost the weekend. I hate to think about “living for the weekend,” but the truth is that weekend days are so awesome. Little responsibility and a lot of relaxing is just what I need.
I spent this week doing a lot of work and a lot of prepping for Colorado. I have to pick up my bridesmaid’s dress from the tailor today. It’s really starting to feel real! I’m getting more excited both about the wedding and being back in Denver. My parents are also going to be there, and I can’t wait to spend time with them.
I met with one of my friend’s this week to check out the Dutch Costume Museum in my attempt to start exploring more of the Amsterdam museums. It was very neat to see the traditional costumes of the Dutch, even though the museum was tiny. We finished in only 20 minutes! They have such beautifully patterned materials, and you can even take a class to paint a bag in the traditional print.
I had my first Bumble BFF meet up this week. It went quite well! I have to say that moving a lot while growing up has really helped me with making friends. I’m definitely not afraid to meet a stranger at a cafe and see if things work out. If you’re new in a city, I really recommend trying something like this to meet knew people. It can feel a little weird, but if you’re compatible you’ll hit it off. And if not, no stress!
I’m happy to see this week come to an end, and I’m looking forward to some exciting things to come in the next few weeks.
Did you have anything exciting happen this week? I’d love to know!
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: WEEK 10
I shared this post on the button front dress trend yesterday, and there are literally so many good options. So much that I’ve been thinking about picking one up in another style and color. I really like this one.
Every once in a while I like to take a look at DSW. It was one of my favorite stores in the states for affordable shoes, and right not I’m really loving these white mules and these block heels.
One of my girlfriends and I just booked our tickets to see Britney Spears in Antwerp in August. I’m beyond excited. I’ve been looking for a vintage Britney concert t-shirt to wear, and Poshmark has been a gold mine. Do any of you use Poshmark for buying or selling clothes? I used it in the states to sell half my closet before we moved, and I miss it so much.
It’s still summer here in the Netherlands, but I remember moving here at the beginning of September last year and it was cold. Which means it’s already time to stock up on some cardigans. I’m especially loving these long line versions.
Jon and I watched Girl’s Trip on the couch earlier this week when it finally came out for rental on Amazon. Sorry not sorry but it was actually SO funny.
Last week, I shared that the dress I purchased from Asos was too small. I’ve found this version now that I think I like even more!
I really want to get into blazers more. Even though no one here dresses up that much. I really like this long one from Mango, and it’s on sale for $30, which is amazing.
For all my blogger friends out there, if you haven’t started listening to The Influencer Podcast, you need to get on it. I’ve been meaning to listen to some new ones, but every week there’s always a new episode that I HAVE to listen to!
I heard this song while at lunch with a friend, and I’m totally loving it.
I’m getting so excited to get queso when we go to Colorado in a week and a half. They now have a Torchy’s, which is my favorite taco place from Texas! I’m also fully planning to get queso from Hacienda too. It’s where Jon and I used to go on dates when we lived there. Can’t keep me away!
