Helllllo, friends! And happy Friday! We’ve had a beautiful week of sunny weather her in the Netherlands. Right now I’m sitting on the couch writing this post with the windows open. Jolene is on the floor going to town on her moose stuffed animal. I’m feeling pretty positive.
But not going to lie that wasn’t how most of my week went. Work has been really busy, and I’ve found transitioning to a new team challenging. Just as I got settled on my last team, I have to learn all new processes, relationships, and science. Such is freelance life!
On top of that, Jolene is starting to feel better. It’s a very good thing, but it means she has far more energy. I’ve spent so much time chasing her around, stopping her from chewing things, and taking her on walks. I had a little bit of a breakdown earlier this week because I was feeling so overwhelmed. I can’t even imagine how people handle it all with a child! Jojo has me so exhausted.
This weekend is Jon’s birthday. He’s a leap year baby, so we’ll kind of be celebrating all weekend long. Saturday is the big day where we’ll be ordering pizza and digging into some Dutch apple pie from Winkel. It’s nice to have something to celebrate with this whole lockdown extension. I’m just hoping things are a little looser once my birthday rolls around at the end of March. I’d love to have a few friends over!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 4, WEEK 7 & 8
I shared a really helpful podcast episode in this blog post this week. If you feel like you don’t have time for all the things you need/want to do, this is for you.
This spring weather has me ready for floral dresses. I just picked up this one (EU) to pair with my favorite All Saints boots.
I also picked up this bag (EU) which looks like the Bottega Veneta bag but at a much more reasonable price.
Jon and I watched this movie on Netflix last night. I love Rosamund Pike and really enjoyed it.
If you’re into skincare devices, I recommend checking this one (EU) out. I reviewed it in this post this week, and I was blown away by my before and after shots.
Recently checked out this cult-favorite cleanser (EU) and have to say it lives up to the hype. It’s pricey for a cleanser, but feels amazing. Plus the tub is much bigger than I expected so it’ll last for a long time.
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Aeropostale Europe dress (sold out in black but available in white) | J. Crew tissue turtleneck | Asos tights | Zara boots (EU)
