Honestly I find it kind of hard to believe I wrote a Friday Favorites post this week. Life has just felt so insane this week. The start of the week I was still reeling from Jon’s proposal. In fact, I don’t think I finally got to speak to everyone about the engagement until Wednesday night. The last weekend was so happy and incredibly emotional that I’m completely worn out. On top of all that, work has been pretty crazy this week. I’ve been working on several big excel spreadsheets and swear I’m going crosseyed.
We are heading to Greece this weekend, and I can’t wait. I haven’t planned too much on the first half of our trip, and I’m looking forward to just winging it. Now that we’re engaged, I’ve been researching everything wedding-related. Apparently, engagement moons are a thing. I guess since this trip falls right after our engagement, we can say it’s our engagement moon haha. But in all reality, I’m looking to relax and enjoy some one-on-one time with Jon. We will spend a few days in Santorini together first before meeting up with friends in Mykonos. Naturally that time will not be relaxing, but it will be so fun.
I am going to miss Jolene, though. Poor girl stepped funny one day this week and has had a slight limp. We’ve got a sitter to take care of her, but the two of us will be worried about her nonetheless. Such is the life of a dog mom. She’s our first child, so we’re always stressed about her.
I hope you all have a good weekend and find sometime to rest no matter what you’re up to.
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 4, WEEK 29 & 30
I included this dress in my recent cottagecore dresses post. It’s got such romantic vibes. The only reason I haven’t bought it, is that Amsterdam has been super cold and rainy this summer. It literally feels like fall outside.
This year I’ve found myself with a bit of a swimsuit shopping problem. I picked up this black one-piece for our trip, and it is fire.
Also restocked this sunscreen (EU) that I’ve been loving lately. It acts as a primer, so it’s a perfect two-for-one product for travel.
This podcast episode was a really interesting listen about the delta variant and vaccinated people.
This place has been my go-to in Amsterdam for my lashes. I’ve done a lash lift and tint and brow lamination here and been really happy. The girls all wear masks even though it isn’t mandated anymore, which I really appreciate.
It’s hard to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale as an expat, but I’m honestly contemplating paying shipping for these boots, these jeans. Also my favorite facial toning device is on sale! It rarely goes on sale, so worth snagging now.
