What a week! We’ve been having some very lovely sun here in the Netherlands. It has felt amazing, but it’s also disrupted my sleep. Here in the NL, air conditioning is very uncommon. It hasn’t gotten too hot yet, but we’ve been sleeping with the windows open. Since we now live on the canals, that means we get some nasty mosquitos. I’ve suffered some big bites, but bought a mosquito net for the bed so things are looking up.
I’ve had a really busy work week, but am hoping to sign off an hour early tonight. Very much looking forward to the mental break of the weekend.
I’d like to tell you all that I have some exciting weekend plans, but it’s really just more of the same. We are going to grab terrace drinks on Saturday afternoon, and I’m hoping to get in some good workouts. Classes are opening this week in the NL, but I haven’t decided if I’m comfortable working out indoors with a bunch of unvaccinated people not wearing masks. So it’ll mostly be at home workouts and runs for now.
Do you have any fun weekend plans?
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 4, WEEK 22
Since it’s been so warm and sunny, I’ve been dreaming of Italy. This week I shared another post in my Sicily series. You can find the travel guide to Palermo here.
Not kidding about how much I’ve been dreaming of Italy. This playlist has been my go-to lately.
This cutout dress (EU) is in my Mango shopping cart. Cutouts are all over the place this summer. It’s a cute trend that’s really easy to buy into.
Saw this swimsuit (EU only) at H&M this week, and I want it so badly. I’m just trying not to buy any until after our first trip. I probably already have too many swimsuits.
If you haven’t heard about the valedictorian in Texas who used her speech to talk about abortion rights, you’ve got to read this. As someone who graduated from high school in Texas, this took total guts. With the new law in Texas banning abortion after six weeks even in cases of rape or incest, I’m so glad she used her platform to speak out.
It’s officially straw hat weather in the Netherlands, which means I’ll be pulling this one (EU) out. I also find this one (EU) with its ribbon super cute for summer.
This week I tested out the new Expressie (EU) nail polish from Essie. I’ve loved the color and it’s held up super well! I always add this gel top coat (EU) and my facialist thought I was wearing gels.
