Friday Favorites: Round 4, Week 17

Happy Friday! Another long week down! Although actually this week felt pretty short since we had Kings Day on Tuesday. It’s one of the biggest national holidays in the Netherlands. Jon and I made a delicious brunch, walked around a little, and sat in the sun. It wasn’t nearly as crazy as a true Kings Day, but it felt much more celebratory than last year. I remember last year so well because I had just been laid off from my job a few days prior. We were in our first lockdown so everything was very strict and everyone was very scared. Judging by the crowds outside this year, it seems that fear is no longer present.

I’m nervous to see how our numbers will look here in the next few weeks. They’re still pretty high although hospitalizations are down. They’ve opened up terraces for dining from 12 – 6pm, but that might not last if the numbers skyrocket. It’s frustrating because we could potentially open the country more if people would obey the rules.

That being said, we are being very strict following the rules because we are looking to travel to NYC next week to get vaccinated. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to do so, since the Dutch have been so slow to vaccinate the population. Since we have a flight booked, Jon and I are being extra careful. I don’t want to see anyone or do anything until we’ve got that negative covid test in hand for our flight. Looks like it’ll be a fairly calm weekend.

FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 4, WEEK 17

My favorite facial toning device is on sale at Nordstrom right now! This thing never goes on sale, so it’s worth grabbing. I wrote a whole review about whether the NuFace is worth it in this post. If you’re in the EU, it’s available here (unfortunately not on sale at the moment).

I’m buying this tanning mousse, this top, and this dress from Nordstrom in the hopes I can pick it up in the states. I miss US shopping sometimes!

This affordable top (EU) was insanely popular in yesterday’s blog post on the 70s trend. It’s seriously so cute and would look great over a bandeau or swimsuit come summer.

Jon and I watched this Oscar-nominated film last weekend, and it was so good. I thought it might be a bit doom and gloom as Oscar noms tend to be, but I was actually very happy with the ending.

My Cult Beauty order finally came in this week. Shipping has been slow since Brexit, but it’s still worth it for some of the better brands and products from the US. I picked up this eye cream (EU), this brow gel (EU), these vitamins for digestion (EU), and these vitamins for sleep/skin (EU).

Just bought this book (EU) to start this weekend. I recently finished this one (EU), and it was SO good. I’m sad it’s over!
