Friday Favorites: Round 4, Week 14

Another week down. This year is such a weird mix of time flying by but also DRAGGING. Lately I’ve really been feeling the monotony of constant work. I find myself already looking forward to the weekend at the start of the week just because it means I’ll be doing something different. Anyone else feeling like this?

Thankfully, I do have a few things to start planning for, which is keeping me sane. Jon and I are currently looking at going back to the United States next month. The vaccine rollout here in the Netherlands is insanely slow, and we think we should be able to get shots in the US as citizens. It would also allow us the opportunity to see family that we haven’t seen in over a year. Almost everyone has been vaccinated which makes us feel much more safe going to visit. Plus with how slow the NL rollout is, I like the idea of opening up our spot for someone else who can’t go to another country to get the vaccine.

Knowing by summer we’ll likely be vaccinated also makes me excited to plan some travel. We are currently looking at going to Greece in late summer. We had plans to go to Greece last year when the world shut down. It’s a dream trip for both Jon and I, so I’m really hopeful we can make it happen this year.

How are you feeling about things? Are you vaccinated or getting vaccinated soon? I hope this means we’ll all be able to travel and visit each other again soon.

FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 4, WEEK 14

Recently read this article that sums up vaccine envy pretty well. It’s great to see all my friends getting vaccinated on social media, but knowing it won’t be available to my age group until end of June in the Netherlands has been really tough.

I’m heading down to the tulip fields next weekend and seriously debating getting this dress (currently EU only), even though I have PLENTY of spring dresses piling up in my closet. 

My guide to the Hook of Holland went up on the blog this week. The Netherlands has some surprisingly nice beaches.

We started this show on HBO recently. It’s pretty good and the episodes are short, which is nice when I get off work at 8pm. I don’t have the mental capacity at that time for long, complicated shows, so it’s been a good watch.

I keep going back and forth on whether to get this bag (EU). It’s so classic and perfect for spring and summer. Will probably just do it here soon!

Been using a sample of this resurfacing mask (EU) lately, and I really like it for my acne-prone skin. It’s pricey, but a little goes a very long way.
