Yesterday, I shared a post on Instagram that it’s officially been a full year since the CDC declared the pandemic. Four days later, the Netherlands went into full lockdown. A year later, and we are in lockdown again. It’s really hard to believe how much time has passed. It makes me kind of sad to think of the year of our lives that has gone by. While there have been a lot of things in the past year to be grateful for, I’m still sad we lost a year of travel and visits to family.
Since we all need a little brightness lately, I wanted to use this cute picture of Jolene for this post. Jon and I are taking Jojo out this morning to grab takeaway coffee with one of his coworkers. She has been growing like crazy. In the past week she’s taken to biting us a lot more and barking at every noise. Next week she starts puppy school, so I’m excited to get her some proper training. Of course, she’s still a puppy and the world is all very new to her. She’s still very very sweet, and I’m so happy to have her around.
Between work, Jolene, and life in general, I feel like I have very little space in my brain. It’s funny to think how much we used to do. Now, I have to decide which two things I’m going to do besides work and take care of Jojo. Usually that’s either work, blog or go to the grocery. I used to workout, blog, work, and go out to dinner or grab a drink with friends regularly. Anyone else feeling like they’ve got a much lower tolerence for doing things?
We’ll be having another slow weekend over here in lockdown. Zero plans, which I’m ok with. Let’s hope for lots of sleep and a nice bottle of red wine.
Have a good weekend, friends!
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 4, WEEK 10
This dress (EU) came in from my favorite French brand this week, and I’m so happy with it. I’m very much looking forward to wearing it this summer (hopefully at a beach…).
The Simone Rocha x H&M collab dropped yesterday. I’ve been a Simone Rocha fan since my days of reading Teen Vogue in high school. Everything is so over-the-top in the best way possible. I managed to snag this dress (EU) and this top (EU). Most items are sold out but this and this are still in stock as of now.
I really enjoyed reading this article about trends coming out of Paris fashion week. I’m honestly so excited for the return of dressing up.
These bookends (EU) came last weekend, and I’m in love. They’re on the pricier side, but they’re so cute and really high quality.
Everytime I post about taking a bath lately, I get questions about my bath rack. I’ve linked similar options in the US & EU in this post.
I’ve been listening to this Indie Covers playlist while I work lately. Honestly so many good classics.
