Happy Halloween, my friends! Well almost. Even though we’re in partial lockdown this year, I’m still very excited to celebrate. I had plans to throw a big Halloween party this year. I’ve finally got a great group of girlfriends who are down to celebrate the holiday even though it’s not really a thing in Amsterdam. I was really looking forward to a costume party, but the new lockdown restrictions limit the number of guests you can have over.
That’s ok though because I’m still finding ways to celebrate at home. In fact, tomorrow three close girlfriends are going to come over for a Hocus Pocus brunch. Three is the max number of people we can have over, and I’m looking forward to a cozy Halloween themed morning.
My friend, Mercedes, is also very into Halloween so we are going to do some Day of the Dead makeup in the afternoon. And then in the evening we’re going to make some themed cocktails and hang out with our guys.
Halloween 2020 might not be what we all expected, but I hope you find some ways to celebrate within your restrictions. And don’t forget, no holiday or party is worth putting yourself and others in danger. Be safe. Be smart. And

Everyone is talking about the Queen’s Gambit on Netflix. Jon and I started last night and ended up watching way later than we had planned. It’s so good!

For my NL friends, I recently went to this nail salon to get some festive Halloween nails done. They do all sorts of nail art, and I’ve booked an appointment before Christmas too. Let’s hope it stays open!
