Happy Friday! The weekend is almost here! I don’t know how it’s been for you lately, but I feel like my weeks have been very intense and my weekends have felt so short. I’m definitely looking forward to relaxing this weekend.
In the last couple of months, I’ve been working freelance in oncology advertising. I work with an agency in New York, so I usually work 12p-8p. That allows me to have more overlap. This week was a bit crazy so I worked a few later nights.
It reminds me of when I lived and worked in New York City. Late nights were a pretty regular thing. I have so many memories of walking back to the subway as the city grew dark or taking a cab home super late at night.
I’m glad that I’m not doing that anymore. Living in Europe has definitely taught me a lot about work-life balance. But lately I have been flipping through old photos and missing NYC. This time last year I was regularly bouncing back and forth between NY and Amsterdam. I sure hope travel opens again soon (aka next year).
How are you all doing this week? Ready for the weekend?
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 3, WEEK 41
Been eyeing one of these fleeces lately. I haven’t shopped from Abercrombie in YEARS, but they’ve been having a bit of a resurgence (minus the moose logos!).
Jon and I watched this 90s movie last weekend, and it was so good! I love a smart thriller. Have you seen it?
Here in Amsterdam, we’ll be celebrating Halloween at home this year. Even if you have plans (lucky!) there are some fun ideas for making your home festive in this post. Also if you get to dress up this year, here are some chic costume ideas!
I’m kind of tempted by these thigh high boots. Still haven’t found them in the EU yet, but I’ll be looking!
Read this Vogue article on the role of influencers in 2020, which I found super interesting. I know personally, I’ve found that I enjoy shopping influencers’ picks because it’s much more curated. Plus you get to see the piece on a real person before buying!
Recently found THE perfect fall blouse (EU). Absolutely obsessed with the color and ruffle detail. Pair with jeans and boots, and you’re ready to go!
You all know I’m a huge fan of French girl fashion and sustainable brands. This sweater (EU) is currently calling my name.
