Friday Favorites: Round 3, Week 24 (+ Giveaway!)

Oh boy is it HOT in Amsterdam today. We are currently going through a heatwave, and it will be almost 90 today. I always find it a little funny when we get a heatwave here. I grew up largely in Texas, where the heat is a very real thing. The difference is that in Europe no one has air conditioning. And our Dutch windows don’t allow for a window unit. So these days when it gets super hot are totally unbearable.

Thankfully the heat will break tonight with some rain. Unfortunately we were supposed to go to the beach on Saturday, which won’t be happening now. It’s a very Dutch problem. We get so little sun. Then when we do have perfect beach days, they happen during the week. Oh well.

Jon and I are headed to Antibes in the South of France next Friday so I have no right to complain. I’m majorly looking forward to relaxing and enjoying a change of scenery. I’m even considering a few days of a social media detox.

Did a photoshoot in this white dress the other evening. I shared it on Instagram yesterday, and it was a hit. It’s seriously so gorgeous for summer.

Chicwish sent me this adorable blue dress that I’ll be wearing in Antibes next weekend. They also sent this tunic which is perfect for a swim coverup.

This skirt (EU link) is what vacation dreams are made of. I tried it on at Mango the other day, and am not 100% sure why I didn’t buy it! Would be so cute with a crop top.

PS – Mango (EU) is having their huge summer sale right now. It’s my favorite sale of the year.

How cute is this swingy dress? This style is my favorite for super hot days because it allows your skin to breathe. In fact, I’m wearing a similar one today.

Headed to this restaurant for dinner tonight. Not only are the food and cocktails delicious, but they have AC. Last year I worked from there all day during the July heatwave.
