It’s been a hot second since I’ve done Friday Favorites, hasn’t it? Last week I took time to gather my thoughts around all the injustice and resulting protests in the United States. It was a week of researching, learning, and acting as I’m sure it was for most of you. I’m very excited to see so many people stand up for Black Lives Matter.
The week prior, I took Friday to share the story of losing my job. Because I wasn’t ready to share my job loss until then, it feels like I’m just now able to be truly honest about my week without skirting around the fact. Honestly the past few weeks have been a bit of a blur. Not having a real schedule has thrown me off. I really function best while having structure.
But I’m working on enjoying this time as much as possible, especially since the Netherlands is starting to open up. I’ve been able to schedule a few dinners and coffee dates. And it looks like travel will begin opening next week. Jon and I are looking forward to booking a week in Antibes so we can get away and relax.
Since I have so much extra time right now, I’m trying to focus a lot of it on my blog. While this is very much a passion project for me, I also want to work toward turning it into a business. If you’ve got the time I would MAJORLY appreciate your support. Here are a few quick ways to support (and NO extra cost to you):
- Share my posts – I recently added some new share buttons that make it super easy to share to any social platform. If you like what you read, please share it so more people can enjoy as well.
- Tell your friends – If you don’t want to share publicly, I’d love it if you’d tell and friend or two to check out my page.
- Shop through my links – I use affiliate links that earn small commissions if you make a purchase after clicking. You don’t pay any extra! The retailer just gives me a few $$ for sending you (kind of like an ad). Learn more about it in this post.
- Leave a comment – I always want to know what you guys are or aren’t liking. Let me know if you liked the post or if there’s something you need help with.
Have a great weekend!
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 3, WEEK 20, 21 & 22
This top just arrived from one of the stores in my post on Black-owned fashion brands. It’s so stinking cute! I ordered a small, but am going to exchange for a medium since it’s a tad tight.
For my NL readers, this flowergram is the cutest gift to send to a socially distanced friend. Best part is it lasts forever! Use code ONEFORYOU to get 10% off your second order (one for you and one for a friend!).
I’m writing a post for next week on summer staples. Not going to spoil it, but I have a white skirt that will definitely make the list. Similar ones here and here.
PSA! If you don’t have any money to donate to BLM, there are other ways to support. Like this spotify playlist – it donates as you stream.
Just bought these sneakers, which are going to be a staple for this summer.
I’m in need of a new summer swimsuit and really like this one or this one. Which do you like best?
So I have a confession. I haven’t bought new athletic lounge shorts since high school. I know. But I finally bought this Nike pair, and I’m so happy with them.
There are a lot of educational movies going around for BLM. Jon and I watched this one this week. We’ve also seen this one and this one in the past that are very good.
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Topshop dress | H&M sandals | Bag is old Henri Bendel | Quay sunglasses (This is my staple pair. So flattering!)
