Hey friends, how are you holding up? We are about to wrap up our fourth week in isolation in the Netherlands. I’m honestly losing track of time (had to look at a calendar to figure out the weeks). Even though I never know what day it is, this week I’ve found a lot more gratitude and positivity.
Perhaps it’s because I’ve settled into my new normal. I’ve been sleeping in until 8. It isn’t something I really like, but I think my body needs it. I’m constantly reminding myself that it’s ok to take a little more time for self care right now, whether that’s sleeping in, an extra glass of wine, or just vegging out on the couch. Don’t forget that we are in the middle of a very stressful time. It’s ok to go easy on yourself.
I am having a hard time separating work and home life lately. As I mentioned in Friday Favorites a few weeks ago, my work with Bloomeffects was cut back. I usually follow these tips for working from home, but I’m finding it harder right now. In particular, I find myself thinking about work all day until my hours start. It’s stressing me out when I’m not on the clock. So I’ve got to find better ways to separate.
I hope you all are staying safe and well. It’s a bit weird having a holiday weekend wihtout being able to visit family. Keep those chins up. And if you’re getting some sunshine this weekend like we are, make sure to sit in it for a few minutes and take some deep, grateful breaths. There’s still a lot to be grateful for right now.
Happy Easter!
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 3, WEEK 13
I read this really interesting article on how far you should be social distancing when running or biking. It’s farther than you think. A good read if you’ve been actively going outside to workout.
I’m ordering these sandals and will be wearing them as my house slippers until we can all go out again.
Also considering this bag if we get out of here in time to go to the beach. Would be the perfect add-on to a white maxi dress.
Since I’ve been getting into the flow of things, I’ve been feeling more up for getting dressed. I shared this post this week, which includes five ways to feel more put together while still being comfortable while you work from home.
If you’re in the NL and looking to support local businesses, I highly recommend ordering coffee beans from here.
Finally watched this movie this week. It’s such a good, heartfelt story.
The sun is out in the Netherlands this weekend and it has me dreaming of spring dresses. I particularly like this, this and this.
Applying my favorite Bloomeffects product to my dry heels this week. Did you know you can use it for dry spots on your body, not just your face?
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Vero Moda dress from last year | Crossbody DK bag (also similar ones here and here) | Sézane necklace

I’m losing count of the weeks at home, everything is blurring together! I also have to remind myself its ok to just sit if we need to. Thank you, thank you for sharing that article… there are so many people still out and about on nice days in Des Moines. It stresses me out! Take care – happy Friday!
