Happy Friday, friends! I’m off work today in observance of Juneteenth, and it feels so good. I’m glad I work for a company that recognizes Juneteenth and even more glad that the president just declared it a federal holiday. It’s a good time to reflect on race relations and the history of POC in America and to continue learning and fighting for change.
Unfortunately the rain is back in Amsterdam after our nice long sunny spell. I’m sitting here with the cool breeze blowing through our window and enjoying the lower temps. But I know the rain is going to get old very quickly. At least we have Ibiza to look forward to in a few weeks!
Poor Jolene went to the vet today. We’ve had issues with the stitches from her spaying ever since we got her. She was spayed before she was adopted, and we just can’t get her stitches to fully heal. Every so often something opens up. I took her in and it turns out she’s got an infection that won’t heal on its own. Poor thing has to go in for surgery in another week.
On a happier note, I’m also meeting up with a friend today to plan some summer travel. We’ve decided to take a long girl’s weekend in Paris next month. I’m so so excited to go back to my favorite city.
I hope you all have a good weekend!
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 23 & 24
Cult Gaia is out of my budget right now, but I recently saw this top and skirt and can’t tell you how much I want it. Going to have to keep my eye out for something similar and more affordable.
I placed a Zara order recently and not that many pieces worked. I did fall in love with this dress (EU) even though it’s white like all my other summer dresses.
This week for Migraine & Headache Awareness Month I shared my migraine story in this post. It was great to connect with many of you also suffer from migraines, although I’m so sorry to hear so many of you deal with them too.
Just started reading this book. It’s from the author of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo that I really loved. I’m not super far into it yet, but enjoying how easy and enjoyable it is to read.
Jon and I watched this show on HBOmax. It’s goofy, British humor and pretty good. Plus it’s an easy 30 min watch.
I recently started sharing my workout playlists with you all on Spotify. Here is my June running playlist.
Bought this crochet dress (EU) as a swimsuit coverup, and it’s even better in real life. So happy with it for our upcoming travels.
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Zara sweater (EU) | Similar shorts (EU only) | Zara boots (EU) | Ralph Lauren hat (EU) | Uniqlo raincoat (EU on sale for under 30 euros!)
