Hi friends! Happy Friday! I’m currently in the midst of packing for another two week trip to NYC. Partly for work and partly for fun. I don’t love being away from home for so long, but this time Jon is coming with for the first week. We’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving with his family in Jersey.
The rest of the year is going to be pretty insane. I’m actually only home for one weekend between now and early January. Hard to fathom. I’d have to say that the travel in my life has really taken off lately. It’s a bit exhausting, but I’m so so excited for New York and then Australia for Christmas.
This week has passed in a bit of a blur. I saw a great post on Instagram the other day. It read, “November is stressful like it’s suddenly freezing and you have 35 different deadlines due within 3 weeks and everyone is panicking and it’s dark all the time.” Honestly, I don’t think anything could be truer about this month.
I’m really looking forward to Thanksgiving this year. For the past two years, Jon and I have been in the Netherlands for Thanksgiving, so we haven’t gotten to truly celebrate. This year, we’re going to get a real American Thanksgiving complete with all the commercialism that goes along with it. I’m actually kind of excited to be around all the shopping and sales, even though I don’t plan to shop too much. I hate to say it but it just feels like such a big part of the holidays haha.
What are your plans for the upcoming holiday week? Celebrating with friends or family? Let me know in the comments!
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 2, WEEK 43
It started getting really cold in Amsterdam this week, and I got a few questions about winter coats. This one is the most practical coat I’ve ever owned for cold temps. And this one is a really classic coat (I’ve had mine for like 4 years).
Speaking of the cold, my favorite shearling boots are back this year. I can’t get enough of the laces. They feel very ski-trip chic!
Jon and I got Apple TV recently and have been addicted to their new shows. I personally love this one and this one. Have you watched either?
For my Amsterdam peeps, the rink is back in front of Rijksmuseum! It’s one of my favorites because the backdrop is just so good. Also wishing I could go to this rink in Paris this year. Talk about STUNNING.
If you’re visiting Amsterdam this year or live here, I did a guide to holiday activities. A lot of them have started or are starting soon.
If you follow my Instagram, you know I share a lot of Vero Moda. I just got this champagne colored slip skirt. So excited to pair it with this sweater and these boots.
Obsessed with sweaters and my eyes are currently on this one, this one, and this one. And all these retailers are having pre-Black Friday sales, so it’s a perfect time to jump on them.
