Another week down, and the end of the year is just FLYING by right now. The holidays are literally right around the corner, and I can’t believe it. It feels like just yesterday I was running through the tulip fields for the Bloomeffects launch event.
With the end of the year swiftly approaching, I’m trying to make the most of it. Next weekend all my end of year travel starts, and I know that my weekends at home will be few and far between for the next several weeks. I’ll be kicking off all of this travel with a visit to Scotland to see one of my best friends. Last time I was there was just after we moved to Amsterdam, and you can read about it in this post.
I’ve been feeling a little bit like the only thing in my life is work right now, even though I know that’s not the case. So I’ve been trying to make a point of recognizing all the other things I’m doing. This week and last I made it my goal to workout five out of seven days.
On Tuesday, I helped out a friend who is teaching spin at Rocycle. She injured her ankle and needed someone to ride on the podium bike while she taught over the mic. It was actually really fun to jump up on the podium and perform without the stress of putting a class together and teaching. Plus being up there in front of everyone is such a better workout than riding as part of the group.
What do you do to find balance outside of work? Thinking I should take up a hobby or something new!
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 2, WEEK 41
This quiz from the Skimm was a really good way to find out my budgeting style. I’ve been feeling the pressure to save lately, since I no longer have extra cash from teaching spin. Plus, as a freelancer the holidays mean no work days. And if I don’t work, I don’t get paid.
PS – The Skimm is a daily newsletter to your inbox that delivers all that day’s news succinctly. It’s my everyday way to keep up to date. Get it here.
You all loved this French bag from Sezane that I shared on Instagram ( I bought it in camel!). I just bought this pair of pants from them too. Oh la la.
They also just launched their eco-friendly loungewear line. This top is perfect for my days working from home in leggings. Much more chic than a regular sweatshirt.
My family has a tradition of getting new pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. I just picked out these and can’t wait to wear them during the holidays in Australia this year. I bought the same pair in red last year, and they are so seriously soft. They’re still my favorite pair. PS – everything is 40% off on the site right now!
Anyone remember the bump hairstyle? I’m so guilty of this one.
If you’re in the market for new boots, I linked so many cute pairs in this post. I’m dying for about 2/3 of them!
If you’re in LA, please go check out the By Damsel store. Jacey Duprie is one of my favorite bloggers, and I’d kill to go visit the store.
