Happy Friday! Anyone else completely overwhelmed that today is the first day of November? This year has FLOWN by. My boss reminded me the other day that there are just 8 weeks left in this year. Way to put it all into perspective.
The rest of the year is going to be crazy busy (when is my life ever not busy?!). I’ll be spending a weekend in Scotland, Thanksgiving week in New Jersey, the first week of December in NYC. Then I’ll be back in the Netherlands for just under two weeks before heading off to Australia to visit my parents. INSANE.
Knowing that so much is coming, I’m trying to make the most of my time at home. Yesterday was Halloween (my FAVORITE holiday). Because I was so busy this month, I barely had time to prep. My girlfriend found had found an 80s Halloween party at the Hoxton. It ended up being a ton of fun even though I threw my costume together in about an hour and a great way to kick off the weekend.
This weekend we have visitors in town, so there will be lots of dinners, wine, and activities. I’ve really been trying to cherish my weekends at home since I’ve been doing so much traveling. Whether it’s busy or slow and lazy like last weekend, I want to take the time to appreciate being here in Amsterdam with Jon.
That being said, I’m getting very excited for my upcoming November and December trips. Are you doing a lot of travel for the holidays over the next few months? Or will you be staying cozy at home?
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 2, WEEK 39 & 40
Very much loving the color of this turtleneck. Pulling out my sweaters the other day I realized I need to inject some color into my sweater box.
Last year one of my favorite outfits included a plaid skirt. This one makes me very excited to pair it with boots and a cozy cream sweater.
One of my favorite shows growing up is getting a reboot! And they started filming these week, right around the corner from the Bloomeffects office.
New boots just came in the mail, and I’m head over heels. Unfortunately they’re sold out already, but there’s a similar pair here. Knee high boots are back this season and the brown croc is very on trend.
I wore this dress to a fall wedding last month, and it was a hit! It’s also perfect for any formal events this winter.
The Amsterdam ice rink in front of Rijksmuseum opens in just a few weeks. If you’re visiting Amsterdam during the holiday season, it’s a must. And while you’re at it, check out my guide to holiday activities in the Dam in this post.
