Happy Friday, friends! I’m super excited it’s Friday because tomorrow morning I’m on a flight to NYC. If you’ve been following for a while, you know that I lived in NY with Jon before we moved to Amsterdam almost two years ago. NYC has a big piece of my heart, and I’m so excited to be back in the city and back with my friends.
Before heading to New York, we’ll be spending the weekend down in New Jersey with Jon’s family. His brother just returned from deployment, so we’re very excited to see him and his family. When we first moved to The Netherlands, they were living in a small town to the South called Breda. It was so nice to have family nearby while we made the transition. But they left a little over a year ago to return to the states. This will be the first time I’ve seen them since!
I have to admit I’m also really excited for the food when we go back to the states. Jon and I have been really good about our eating lately (a much needed change). I’ve actually gotten back to tracking macros, something I quickly gave up on a few months back. But I’m already planning a few cheat meals – pizza, Mexican, and maybe a bagel sandwich.
It’s always exciting to have something to look forward to. And I’m going to be working from the city next week and seeing the new Bloomeffects office!
What are you currently looking forward to? Let me know in the comments.
Xx, Kelsey
FRIDAY FAVORITES: ROUND 2, WEEK 28
This is one of my favorite Mexican spots in NYC, where we’ll be going next week. They’ve got white quest and a Whataburger table number above the bar, so you know this place is authentic.
I got this basic t-shirt from Mango this week, and it’s sooo comfy. I’ve recently been trying to stock up on a few more basics, since my favorites from last summer are looking a little worn.
This is one of the things I can’t leave NYC without. I’m such a sucker for the smell, and nothing in The Netherlands comes close.
Speaking of New York. If you’re visiting in the near future (or just love the city like me), I have a very extensive guide here.
This Prada-style headband was an impulse purchase on Instagram, and I am not regretting it one bit.
Polka Dots are the trend I can’t get enough of right now. I wrote about it in this post. And I bought this dress on sale last week. Told you I can’t get enough.
Just started this book because I always need something to read on my travels. So far it’s an easy and enjoyable read.
