I love the Fourth of July. I love the red, white, and blue and the spirit and pride in the USA. This will be the third year I’m out of the country for the holiday, and I have to say I miss planning Fourth of July outfits.
It’s always fun to get dressed for the holiday because it’s ok to be a little bit over the top. Plus, red, white, and blue is a really cute combo. While things may look a little different this year, I’ve put together some adorable Fourth of July outfits for any occasion. All these adorable options make me want to celebrate in a million different ways so I can wear them all.
Check out the below Fourth of July outfits and let me know what your plans are for Independence Day! Above all else, make sure to stay safe!

BACKYARD BBQ
Of all my Fourth of July outfits, these shorts are so perfect for a BBQ. I picked up these ruffle shorts a few years ago from Zara, but there’s a similar pair available at Nordstrom right now. Pair them with a navy blue or white tank, especially if it’s going to be a hot day. Pair them with classic wedges. The best part is that you can wear each of these pieces on their own after the Fourth has passed.
POOL PARTY
Not sure if pool parties are even okay with Covid – so maybe this should really be “tanning in your backyard.” Either way, swimsuits in red, white or blue are totally classic for all summer. I have a red and white swimsuit I’ve been wearing for years. Never goes out of style.
DRESSING UP
Just because this year looks different doesn’t mean you can’t use the holiday as an excuse to throw on your best Fourth of July outfits. A fun red or white dress with some special accessories might just be the thing you need during this strange time!
CASUAL DAY
If you’re taking it easy and planning to stay home, that doesn’t mean you can’t be patriotic. Throw on an easy red, white and blue tee with high-waisted shorts for hanging around. And throw your hair up in a high pony with a navy bandanna. Very on trend and very American!
