This past weekend Jon and I attended the wedding of two of our friends in NYC. We’ve been doing so much traveling to start this year out, that I frankly did a pretty terrible job of packing. I took one glance at the invite, threw something random in my suitcase and off we flew.
It wasn’t until two days before the wedding that I realized I didn’t like what I’d brought. The wedding was black tie, so I ran around New York City trying to find an appropriate formal dress. Unfortunately the Rent the Runway location in the city had no good options.
On a whim, I decided to pop into Zara in the hope something decent caught my eye. I’m so glad I did because I stumbled upon this formal dress that was absolutely perfect. It was formal enough to pull off black tie. And best of all, it was only $89.
I ended up getting so many compliments on the dress. I was a little between sizes, so the medium was a bit big in the top. For the reception, I ended up switching it out for the velvet jumpsuit I had brought so I could dance.
All in all, if you’re looking for the perfect wedding guest dress, this berry number is the perfect fit. And won’t break the bank.
