Fall is the perfect season for cozying up at home. This year, that rings even more true as the pandemic continues to spread across the world. As the weather cools this year, we will all be spending more time at home. Here in Amsterdam, I’m trying to get as cozy as possible. We are back in a partial lockdown, and it’s perpetually rainy. So I decided to put together a list of cozy fall items for snuggling up at home.
This list ranges from comfy sweaters to delicious fall candles. I’ve compiled all the things you need to snuggle up for a movie night at home or to make working from home more bearable. Read on for the full list of fall items you’ll want to add to your life immediately.
And if you’re feeling a little wanderlust, check out this post to transport yourself to Amsterdam in the fall.

- Pumpkin vanilla candle (EU) – Nothing screams fall like lighting cozy candles. This scent fills the room without being too overpowering or sweet. I’ve had it burning nonstop in our apartment.
- Knit loungewear (EU) – I ordered this cozy set from Mango recently, and it did not disappoint. Go all in with the cardigan, knit bra, and leggings. Or pick one or two pieces to add to your current wardrobe.
- Hydrating face mask (EU) – The changing weather means it’s time to start bumping up your skin hydration. This mask is my favorite for calming angry skin and adding a dose of hydration. Put it on while binging Emily in Paris on Netflix.
- Fluffy slippers (EU) – Not only do these slippers look like clouds, they feel like them too. I’ve been wearing them every day while working at my desk since my toes tend to get so cold.
- Fall pillows (similar color in the EU) – Since we won’t be doing much celebrating outside the house, make your home feel right for the season with fun fall throw pillows on your couch.
- Stretchy leggings (EU) – Who needs pants if you won’t be leaving the house? This is one of my favorite cozy fall items because they’re super stretchy without losing their shape. Wear them for calming yoga or for laying on the couch.
- Festive mug – I’ve been drinking so much more tea with the dropping temperatures. A festive mug makes your daily routine a little more fun. Plus who can resist a cute mug??
- Cozy throw (EU) – If you’re going to be spending so much time on the couch, it makes sense to invest in a super cozy throw. You know it’ll get a ton of use.
- Seasonal tea – This is one of my favorite fall teas. I brew it really strong to get all the yummy cinnamon flavors. In the NL, I’ve been drinking this one!
- Fuzzy bathrobe (EU) – I throw this one first thing after hopping out of bed in the morning. It makes it much easier to transition from warm sheets to my day.
