If you haven’t noticed it yet, the button front dress is all over the place this summer. Coming in a variety of colors and shapes, the one consistent detail that makes this dress so popular is the row of buttons down the front. It conjures up images of the summers in the French Riviera, and who knows style better than the French? I think it’s safe to say that this dress is THE dress of summer.
I picked up my white button front dress from Zara several weeks ago, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s so easy to dress up or down depending on the occasion. It’s so versatile, I can even imagine throwing a jean jacket over it when it gets cooler. I paired the dress for this shoot with my favorite Marc Fisher wedges, but I’ve also worn it with a basic pair of brown sandals.
Button front dresses are flattering on all body types because the vertical row of buttons visually draws the eye up and down. Plus, who doesn’t want to look like they could be headed off to a cafe to sip rose in the sunshine? If you haven’t gotten on the button front dress train already, it’s not too late. Summer isn’t over yet! I’m linking several versions in the carousel below in varying shapes and colors. I suggest picking out your favorite, throwing on your most French accessories and grabbing a glass of rose stat.
Xx, Kelsey
