Last month my mom, future mother-in-law, and maid of honor pulled off the most incredible brunch and bubbly bridal shower. They went above and beyond with all the food, decorations, and games. And of course, the very best part was that so many friends and family were able to get together and celebrate. It was such a wonderful little preview of what the wedding day will be like. It made me so excited for the big day, which is just around the corner!
I’m not going to lie I was a little involved in the shower planning, but mostly because we decided to host it in Jersey City. My mom, MIL, and MOH don’t live here, so it made sense that I’d be involved in some of the planning. That being said, 99% of this was their work and plan so they deserve ALL the credit. I felt so loved that day, and I wanted to share it all with you.

Where it took place
My bridal shower was hosted at Satis Bistro in Jersey City. We have some family connections to the restaurant and knew it would be the perfect fit. They do an amazing brunch and have very cute bistro vibes. The space is bright, open, and perfect for a daytime event. As part of the event package, we were able to select a ton of delicious family-style plates like my favorite, pancakes with chantilly cream. We also had mimosas, bellinis, and wine available to everyone. The staff was incredible on the day and everyone was raving about it!
Brunch & bubbly theme
My mom suggested this theme to me, and I thought it was absolutely perfect. I’m a huge fan of Champagne, in fact, I’ve been to the Champagne region multiple times (and brought back many bottles). Plus, the theme was perfect for a daytime event. They ended up going with pink, white, and gold, which was the ideal color scheme.
Bridal shower games
It wouldn’t be a bridal shower without some of the classic games! We played bridal shower bingo which was such a great way for everyone to get to mingle and get to know each other. We also played a fun game where everyone had to guess how old Jon and I were in a series of photos from our childhood. It was so cute! And of course, we had to do a “guess what she said” where everyone guessed my answers to fun questions.
Bloom bar
My favorite thing that we did was a build-your-own-bouquet cart. The lovely ladies at Sweet Love NJ had set up the prettiest little cart that said “Kelsey’s Bloom Bar.” Everyone was able to grab a vase and put together their own bouquet. It was honestly so sweet, and I loved seeing how everyone’s bouquets came together.
Recipes
When my future mother-in-law sent out the invitations for the brunch and bubbly bridal shower, she included blank recipe cards. At the shower, everyone brought their cards and put them in a recipe box. It was so amazing to go through all the recipes from all the important women in my life. Now I have a whole bunch of delicious dishes to make!
The decor
I’m so lucky to have such amazing women in my life who worked so hard to make the most incredible decor. My fiancé’s cousin put together an amazing balloon arch and created the menus. My mom put little veils on mini bottles of prosecco and made garlands. My mother-in-law made gorgeous chocolate-covered strawberries, signage, and a stunning floral arrangement. These were just some of the little details that made the day so special. Everything was not only beautiful but had the most personal touch. My MOH even ordered personalized cookies from Tierra’s Custom Treats. It’s a small business run by a mom of two and ships all over. Not only were they so cute, but they were delicious too!
I’m so so lucky to be loved by so many amazing women who created the most amazing day!
