If you followed along with fashion month, then you’ve likely heard (and seen) that brown is the new black for fall 2018. The 70’s inspired hue was all over the street style looks of fashion’s elite. While brown may not seem particularly accessible at first glance, it’s actually quite wearable. More unexpected than traditional black, the color will quickly make your whole outfit very on trend.
Head-to-toe brown looks are incredibly popular right now. If you’re feeling less daring, the easiest way to incorporate this season’s hottest neutral is to pick up a brown sweater. There are so many options this season in shades from light to dark, but they all feel fresh and perfect for fall. (Can’t you just see this one at the pumpkin patch?) I pulled out this one that I had picked up at H&M last year. I paired it with a checked skirt in this post and paired it with my favorite dark jeans for this one. Adding western boots and a western belt makes the brown sweater and jeans combo feel really current. In the carousel below are some of my favorite brown sweaters that you can add to your wardrobe asap.
How do you feel about the brown is the new black trend? Are you in love with it or still sticking to your traditional colors?
Xx, Kelsey
