If there’s one thing I’ve learned about Dutch girl style, it’s the power of white sneakers. Dutch girls wear them with everything from denim to suits to dresses. The more unexpected the pairing, the cooler they look.
Last summer, big, chunky dad shoes were all the rage. While that trend hasn’t died yet, it has gone pretty mainstream. Everyone and their mom is wearing them. If you’re ready to jump on a pair of summer white sneakers that aren’t dad shoes, look no further.
This year, I’m obsessed with the all white Nike Air Force Sage Low. It’s the slightly more feminine take on the traditional Air Force with a thicker sole. I purchased a pair of these European style sneakers a few weeks ago and can’t stop wearing them.
One of my favourite combos is to pair my Air Force Sages with high waist jeans and a white tee. A pair of high white socks adds another layer of interest to the look.
The best thing about these shoes is how easily they work with any outfit. Throw them on with denim shorts or a maxi dress to instantly make your outfit that much cooler (and more European).
