If you’re anything like me you LIVE in dresses all summer long. They’re the easiest outfit to put together (just throw on some sandals and grab a purse), and they always look put together. Plus comfort is always a main priority during the hot summer months. There’s nothing worse than feeling pants stick to your sweaty legs on your morning commute. Ew.
There are a lot of summer dress styles that I wear year after year. But I also love to add in a few new trendy pieces each year to spice things up. Since I’ve been doing a little summer shopping, I figured I would share the best summer dress styles for 2022 – from the classic styles you’ll continue to wear to ones that are right on trend for this summer. Keep reading to stock your summer wardrobe with the best dresses.

- The Nap Dress – This is one of my favorite summer dress styles because it’s always so easy to wear. Whether you get dolled up and throw on a pair of heels or rock it with easy sandals, it always looks put together. Plus, it’s definitely the most comfortable to wear.
- French-Inspired – If you’ve noticed everyone on your Instagram feed galivanting around Paris and been a little jealous, then this summer dress style is for you. Look for details like small polka dots, fluttery short sleeves, and a wrap waist. The dress I’m wearing in this post is from Quanta du Soleil and totally embodies the French-girl style.
- Crochet – The 70s have been trending for a year or two now and are going very strong this summer. In particular, crochet is all over the place. This is one where I would recommend buying a less expensive piece because it’s so trendy. But definitely worth dipping your toes into for this season.
- Cutouts – Another trend that’s been going strong and isn’t going anywhere. For 2022, I’m really loving midi dresses with cutouts. They’re a great blend of demure and sexy. Plus, midi dresses are always the most comfortable.
- White Dress – No summer dress list is complete without at least one white dress. To me, nothing says summer like a white wardrobe. It’s so easy to find a white dress in any style that suits you best. I particularly love a linen style like this one because it’s so breezy for hot summer days.
