The chunky chelsea boots trend is popping up all over Instagram. And if you search for boots on any major clothing site, it’s likely you’ll be inundated with pairs of chunky boots. Safe to say, this is one of fall’s biggest boot trends.
I picked up my pair of chunky chelsea boots a few months back when I saw that this was going to be a big trend. Since then, I’ve been wearing them quite a lot. One of my favorite things about the chunky boot trend is how it can give a rather simple outfit a little something extra. They’re also great for making your legs looks longer and leaner if you go with a monochromatic look.
Below, I’m sharing five different pairs of chunk chelsea boots that are perfect for fall plus several ways to wear them.
Let me know, are you jumping on the chunky chelsea boots trend this year?
Xx, Kelsey
- Classic Chunky Boot (EU) – This is the pair I have, and I’m obsessed. They felt huge when I first got them, but I’ve been wearing them a ton. And I always get compliments on them!
- White Boots (EU) – I’ve been seeing a lot of chunky chelsea boots in white too. Honestly, I’m a fan. They’re a little harder to style than an all black pair, but very cool.
- Lace Up Boots (EU) – Combat boots are also big this year. I love how this pair combines the two trends.
- Subtle Boots – This pair is for those of you who are a little nervous to jump on something so trendy. The slightly chunky sole is a bit easier to digest (and to wear!).
- Chunky with a Heel (EU) – For those of you who are all in on this trend, I love this heeled pair. Maybe a little harder to walk in, but they’re so so fun!
HOW TO WEAR CHUNKY CHELSEA BOOTS
Pair them with your favorite jeans and sweater combo – This is one of my most worn outfit combinations during fall and winter. Every year, I change up my boots based on what’s trending. So this year, pair this look with your chunky chelsea boots. Then throw a feminine coat over top, and you’re done.
Combine them with leg-lengthening skinny jeans – One thing I love about chunky chelsea boots is their ability to make your legs look smaller. It’s all about proportions. If you combine a pair of black chunky boots with black skinny jeans, you’ll appear to have legs for miles. Promise.
Use them to toughen up a feminine dress – Chunky chelsea boots are so fun if you’ve got style like mine because they add a little edge to your look. A super feminine dress will become instantly cooler when paired with a thick black pair of boots.
