If you’re anything like me, you’re itching for warmer weather. I’m ready to feel the sun on my skin, sit outside sipping a glass of rosé, and finally put away my boots and coats. We’ve had a couple of teasingly warm days in the NYC area recently, which has me so eager to finally get to wear some of my favorite 2024 spring trends.
Last year, I was very conscious about my shopping while planning my wedding. My budget went exclusively to my bridal wardrobe. Now that I’m a married woman, I’m ready to get back to all the fun trends! But of course, if you know me, you know I dip my toes into the trends within reason. I’m a firm believer in classic style and only wearing trends that feel exciting to you. I also believe that you shouldn’t spend too much money on a super trendy piece because it will inevitably go out of style.
So today, I’m sharing the 2024 spring trends that are worth indulging in. These trends are a super fresh and fun way to spruce up your wardrobe after those long winter months. And they won’t break the bank, either. If you’re as ready as I am for some extra oomph in your closet, keep reading for the 2024 spring trends you’ll want to try ASAP.

Mesh Flats
This trend is everywhere on Instagram right now. I had my eye on a pair last year, but the trend was so new that all the options were $400+. Thankfully affordable retailers are leaning into the trend this season, which makes this one of my favorite 2024 spring trends. Stick with the classic black mesh pair like mine, or go crazy with a fun color or rhinestones. I recently paired mine with a white skirt and grey sweater, for a fresh early spring fit.
Drop Waist Dresses
This is a trend I started to see in bridal last year. The basque waist became very popular, and the style has now made its way to mainstream retailers. It’s not the easiest trend to pull off, but it is a fun way to switch up your silhouette. I fell in love with this subtle drop waist dress from Zara, but there are several more options below.
Pops of Burgundy
It’s no secret I love this shade of wine red. It was the main color in my wedding color palette after all. This spring, the trend has moved away from the pops of cherry red that were popular in the winter (although don’t stop wearing it now!). Thanks largely to the latest Gucci collection, burgundy red is everywhere. My favorite way to incorporate the color is with fun accessories like a pointy mule or glossy bag.
Denim Dresses
You may have noticed a resurgence of “horse girl style” on Instagram and Tiktok. I’m not saying you have to go full cowboy (unless you want to, ofc), but denim dresses are back in a big way. This is one of the most accessible of the 2024 spring trends. A denim dress is such a great base that can be accessorized any way you want. You could even double down and add burgundy mules or mesh flats to your look!
